Job summary

Skidmore is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive direct sales in the Carolinas region and manage a broad portfolio across food ingredients. The role requires developing deep customer insights, building multi-level relationships, and delivering a plan to achieve growth targets.

You will work with R&D, QA, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to bring new solutions, while leveraging deep technical and market knowledge to advance customer programs and products.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of technical experience and demonstrated new product development success in food ingredients sales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of business.
• Ability to analyze customer business plans and develop tailored solutions.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities for managing multiple accounts.

Responsibilities

• Meet divisional sales goals, targeting 10% gross profit growth annually.
• Build and expand relationships with key decision makers (Purchasing, R&D, Marketing, Operations).
• Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business plans and operations.
• Lead cross-functional projects and align Processor’s Choice capabilities to customer needs.
• Plan for prospecting and develop new business through referrals and networking.
• Communicate results and opportunities via weekly reports to division management.
• Travel to assigned accounts and market areas regularly.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support customer success.
