Job summary

ISMIRA Agency actively recruits for an Assistant Joiner to support Carnival Cruise Line aboard a world‑travel assignment. You will refurbish and install in Guest and Crew areas under the Team Leader, with rotation night calls and routine inspections of upholstery and carpets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old.
• Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standard.
• High School Diploma.
• Proven working experience as an Assistant Joiner.
• Basic STCW Training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refurbishment, repairs, and new installations in Guest and Crew areas as instructed by the Team Leader.
• Provide night call assistance on a rotation basis as scheduled by the Team Leader.
• Perform routine inspections of Guest and Crew areas (carpet, upholstery, etc.).
• Learn proper use of tools and PPE as instructed by the Team Leader.
• Assist freshwater bunkering operations as directed by the Team Leader/Staff Captain.
• Ensure OH&S policies are applied during work activities.
• Perform Backstage services.
• Carry out night beeper duties as requested by the Team Leader.
• Follow environmental policies and safety procedures.
• Attend Safety drills and training as required.
• Any other reasonable task assigned by Staff Captain or Team Leader.

The Assistant Joiner is responsible for maintaining the vessel's guests and crew areas, as well as carrying out refurbishment, repairs, and daily work as instructed by the team leader.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Carrying out refurbishment, repairs, and new installation in Guest and Crew areas as instructed by the Team Leader.
• Provides night call assistance on a rotation basis as scheduled by the Team Leader
• Performs routine inspections of all Guest and Crew areas under his specific responsibility (i.e., carpet, upholstery, etc.)
• Responsible for learning the proper use of tools and equipment and P.P.E. as instructed by the Team Leader.
• Assist the freshwater bunkering operations. The Asst Joiner designated by the Team Leader/Staff. Captain is responsible for this task.
• Ensure that all aspects of the company's OH&S are effectively applied during his/her working activities.
• Perform Backstage services.
• Carry out night beeper duties as requested by the Team Leader
• Ensuring that all aspects of the company's environmental policies and safety procedures are applicable to his/her job tasks.
• Attend all Safety drills and training as required.
• Any other reasonable task assigned by the Staff Captain or Team Leader
