Job summary
Assisted Living Services, Inc. in Milford, CT is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to join our home care team. We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities with flexible scheduling based on your availability. Weekend and evening availability is a plus!
Our PCAs provide ADL assistance, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, mobility support, and medication reminders while helping clients live safely at home. Training and PPE are provided.
Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or relevant caregiving experience preferred
- Flexible availability based on your schedule
- Weekend and evening availability is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in home care or a healthcare setting preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Active automobile insurance
Responsibilities
- Provide basic ADL assistance including personal care, meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Change bed linens as needed
- Support clients with daily activities based on their individual needs
- Provide a caring, positive presence
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations
