Job summary

Assisted Living Services, Inc in Windsor, CT seeks compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to provide in-home eldercare. The role focuses on ADLs, companionship, and documenting client progress, with training and PPE provided. Flexible hours include Sundays to Saturdays and various shift times.

The position offers full-time, part-time, and per-diem options, with a pay range of $18.00–$22.00 per hour and benefits such as 401K, bonuses, direct deposit, and paid sick time.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in home care or healthcare setting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Car insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services (meal prep, laundry, light housework).
• Provide companionship and engage client in conversation.
• Assist with mobility issues (getting in/out of bed, wheelchair use).
• Remind client to take medications.
• Assist with personal hygiene (teeth brushing, toileting, bathing).
• Change bed linens regularly.
• Assist with daily activities based on client needs and limitations.
• Provide a caring, positive presence and document progress as required.
