Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation related business preferred.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, typing, and general computer/internet skills required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take on greater responsibilities; project management skills a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to solve problems is a must.

Responsibilities

• Receive, greet, and direct customers and visitors at the terminal.
• Communicate with drivers to resolve issues for a best-in-class experience.
• Ensure proper cargo delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Update HazMat information in the TOS and release hazardous cargo to vessels.
• Handle refrigerated container temperature discrepancies.
• Coordinate inspections with government agencies and schedule with customs.
• Process inbound/outbound cargo forms with customs.
• Collect payments from customers at the terminal.
• Troubleshoot gate and resolution center issues to maintain cargo flow.
• Maintain the UIIA trucker database in the TOS.
• Assist with cargo terminal projects and vendor invoices.
• Assist with handling customer claims for automobiles.
