Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation related business.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; typing and general computer skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; eagerness to learn and take on greater responsibilities.
• Eagerness to learn and take on greater responsibilities; project management skills a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to solve problems is a must.
• Hazardous certification and related process certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, greet, and direct customers and visitors at the TOTE terminal in a face-to-face environment.
• Maintain effective communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Ensure proper delivery of cargo and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Update hazardous information in the Terminal Operating System (TOS) and release hazardous cargo per regulations.
• Coordinate and assign equipment for Yard Transfers and update the system accordingly.
• Assist management in effective operation of the cargo terminal and participate in terminal projects as needed.
• Schedule terminal activities with Customs & Border Protection as needed.
• Produce reports such as Dangerous Cargo Manifest and Port Authority wharfage requests.
