Job summary

Right at Home Greater Jax is seeking compassionate CNAs and HHAs to join our caregiving team in Florida. You will perform personal care, errands, meal prep, light housekeeping, and accompany clients to appointments, while providing hospice support and reminders for medications as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA license or HHA certificate, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and meets background screening requirements. Training is provided, and overtime is available.

Qualifications

• CNA license or HHA certificate is required.
• Valid driver license or state photo ID.
• Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, etc.).
• CPR certification (not online).
• TB or Chest X-ray clearance.
• Level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities and activities of daily living.
• Ambulation, transfers, dressing, and grooming support.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Assist with errands and medical appointments.
• Light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Provide medication reminders and hospice support as needed.
• Use lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts.

Essential Functions:

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
• Performs patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):
• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with exercises
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift
• Personal care
• Range of Motion Exercises
• Companionship
• Light cleaning

Requirements:

• CNA license or HHA Certificate
• Valid Driver License or State Photo ID

• Auto Insurance
• CPR Card (cannot be an online class)
• TB or Chest X-ray
• Level 2 Fingerprint Background check
• Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU
