Job summary

Right at Home Greater Jax in Jacksonville, FL is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our home care team. This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse.

You will provide personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and companionship. Training is provided, with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• CNA license required.
• Valid Driver License or State Photo ID.
• Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, etc.).
• CPR certification.
• TB or Chest X-ray.
• Level 2 Fingerprint Background check.
• Alzheimer's, HIV, and medication assistance CEU.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities to assist with activities of daily living.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers.
• Dresses and shaves patient.
• Prepares meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompanies patients to appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping and laundry.

Essential Functions:

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):Personal Hygiene

• Ambulation/Transfers

• Dressing/Shaving

• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments

• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom

• Performs patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care

• Assisting with exercises

• Incontinence care

• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
  

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift

• Personal care

• Range of Motion Exercises

• Companionship

• Light cleaning

Requirements:

• CNA license

• Valid Driver License or State Photo ID

• Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)

• Auto Insurance

• CPR Card (cannot be an online class)

• TB or Chest X-ray

• Level 2 Fingerprint Background check

• Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU

• 1 letter of recommendation
