Sacramento Children's Home is seeking a Child Care Worker-Transporter to support the Crisis Nursery in Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on ensuring the health, safety, and basic needs of children, along with transportation responsibilities and maintaining orderly daily operations.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, knowledge of child development, and the ability to work within program and licensing guidelines. Benefits include a comprehensive package and a regular Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Knowledge of child development for ages 0-5.
• Ability to follow program/CCL policies and procedures.
• Ability to interact with children in a caring, respectful manner.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure child safety and supervision at all times.
• Transport children as needed and maintain vehicles and paperwork.
• Perform household tasks: cleaning, meals, inventory, laundry.
• Observe and document child progress and communicate with staff.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
