Sacramento Children's Home is seeking an Awake Lead Child Care Worker for the Crisis Nursery in Sacramento, CA. The role supervises shift staff, ensures child safety and care, and coordinates direct care operations, following CCL and SCH policies.

The Awake LCCW serves as the liaison to site supervisors, provides input for staff evaluations, and supports timely documentation and incident reporting. Requires English proficiency and knowledge of child development.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English.
• Knowledge of child development for ages 0-5.
• Ability to supervise staff and provide feedback.
• Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Able to follow program and licensing policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift and provide work direction to CCW staff.
• Allocate staff based on children and ratios.
• Provide coaching and discipline in supervisor's absence.
• Communicate admissions, illnesses, accidents to management.
• Address problems and ensure timely reporting.
