Job summary

Sacramento Children's Home in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Awake Lead Child Care Worker to supervise the Crisis Nursery shift, ensure child safety, and coordinate direct care in accordance with CCL and SCH policies.

You will lead CCW staff, perform bed checks, support de-escalation, administer medications per chart, and maintain a clean, safe environment for children 0–5 years old. Weekend night shift 11:00pm–7:00am; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of child development and care for 0–5-year-olds.
• Ability to implement program/CCL policies and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations, direct CCW staff, and provide feedback.
• Ensure safety and care of children, supervise meals, diapers, and activities.
• Monitor environment, de-escalate crises, and apply positive discipline.
• Notate progress, coordinate with Supervisors, and complete required paperwork.
• Administer medications per chart and maintain clean, safe spaces.
