Job summary

Sacramento Children's Home is seeking a dedicated Child Care Worker I/II for the Crisis Nursery program in Sacramento, CA. You will supervise, protect, and care for children aged 0–5, administer medications, and support family services.

The role requires maintaining safety, completing documentation, and working within Title 22 regulations. We offer competitive hourly wages, a weekend schedule (Sat/Sun 3:00pm–11:00pm) with mandatory trainings and benefits, and opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 12 postsecondary units in early childhood education, child development, or child health (or 9 units plus six months of related experience).
• Six months or more experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children 0–5 at all times.
• Supervise and interact with children individually and in groups.
• Attend to basic needs including diapering, bathing, feeding, and clothes changes.
• Administer medications as prescribed and record in child’s chart.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery and household tasks.
• Prepare meals, snacks, and maintain inventory.
