Modern Support Services in California is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily life and community settings. You will mentor, teach, and advocate while honoring individual choices and goals.
The role offers flexible scheduling with 2-, 4-, and 8-hour shifts, including day, afternoon, and weekend options. Compensation is $20–$24 per hour plus benefits for eligible full-time employees, and opportunities for growth

As a DSP, you'll serve as a mentor, teacher, and advocate while respecting each person's choices, preferences, and goals. Responsibilities may include:
Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or human services is a plus.
If you've worked as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Respite Worker, Teacher's Aide, Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Job Coach, Day Program Staff Member, Childcare Worker, Youth Mentor, Camp Counselor, Medical Assistant, Behavioral Health Technician, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Rehabilitation Aide, Residential Counselor, Community Support Worker, or Volunteer Coordinator, your experience could translate well into a Direct Support Professional role.
Experience supporting a family member with a disability, volunteering, tutoring, or working in other helping roles can also provide valuable skills. Your compassion, patience, creativity, and ability to build relationships can make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
