Job summary

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a Part Time Parent Peer Support Specialist in Hamilton, OH, to use their lived caregiving experience to help families navigate behavioral health systems. You will provide one-on-one support, connect families with resources, and advocate for caregivers in collaboration with the MRSS team.

Responsibilities include goal setting, documentation, and partnering with schools and community providers while traveling within the community to deliver

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a caregiver for a child with behavioral health challenges.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to travel to work locations and throughout the community.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Use your lived experience as a caregiver to build trust with families.
• Serve as liaison and advocate for caregivers, connecting them with services.
• Provide one-on-one consultation to help identify goals.
• Partner with MRSS team to engage caregivers in recommended services.
• Help families identify and access natural supports and resources.
• Build relationships with service providers, schools, and community organizations.
• Maintain documentation accurately within established timeframes.
• Meet agency productivity expectations and participate as a collaborative team member.
• Maintain proficiency in the electronic health record system.
