Job summary

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate Peer Support Specialist in Hamilton, OH. You will provide peer support to clients facing behavioral health needs, using your lived experience to help them navigate services and build confidence in accessing supports for themselves and their families.

Work with a collaborative clinical team, engage families, and advocate for clients while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lived experience with behavioral health challenges.
• Strong communication, active listening, relationship-building, and engagement skills.
• Ability to travel to other work locations and throughout the community.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable auto insurance.
• Flexible schedule with evening availability.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow agency policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support using lived experience to encourage clients and families.
• Offer one-on-one peer consultation to help clients identify goals and navigate services.
• Support clients as they work toward goals and advocate for themselves.
• Build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to engage families in recommended services.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record and maintain confidentiality.
