Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency in Pennsylvania is seeking compassionate, reliable Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team. You will provide non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support to seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred
• Proof of TB testing required
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties
• Must have reliable transportation
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be mature, caring, punctual, and dependable
• Ability to work independently while following the client’s care plan
• Must successfully pass required criminal background and fingerprint checks

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support based on each client's care plan
• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and ADLs
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as applicable; light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide companionship and encouragement for independence and social engagement
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home
• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan and requirements
• Support transportation to medical appointments and run errands when applicable
