Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Dyer, IN is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home support for clients. Morning and evening shifts are available, with a part-time / PRN schedule and coverage seven days a week. Applicants should have caregiving experience; CNA/HHA certification is not required.

Hoyer lift experience is preferred. National background screening, TB documentation, CPR certification, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience in home care, private duty care, senior care, or similar setting.
• 2+ years of caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA or HHA certification not required for this position.
• Hoyer lift experience strongly preferred; client-specific training may be provided.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete a national background screening.
• Current TB documentation and CPR certification required.
• Dependable, professional, compassionate, and able to follow an individualized care plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Hoyer lift transfers and mobility needs.
• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating assistance).
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes related to care.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or needs.
• Use the mobile app to clock in/out and complete required care documentation.

We are currently hiring for coverage 7 days a week. Applicants may be available for morning shifts, evening shifts, or both.

• Morning Shift: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Evening Shift: 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Position Type: Part-time / PRN
