Assisting Hands Home Care – Dyer, IN is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Dyer and surrounding Lake and Porter Counties. Flexible PRN, part-time schedules with days, evenings, overnights, and weekends available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 2 years caregiving experience (home care, assisted living, or facility).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass a national background check.
• Current TB test and CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers).
• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offer medication reminders (no administration).
• Support safe mobility and ambulation (walker, wheelchair, etc.).
• Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior.
• Use our mobile app to clock in/out and document care notes.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures (CDC-compliant).
