Job summary

First Hope Home Care in Colorado is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / Personal Care Aide to provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes.

You will support daily living activities, follow care plans, and help maintain safety and independence, with options for full-time, part-time, live-in, or PRN shifts. CPR/First Aid and CNA/HHA certifications preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience in caregiving or CNA preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient.
• Ability to assist with lifting (25–50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Support mobility, transfers, and daily activities.
• Provide non-medical medication reminders.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Follow care plans and agency policies.

Position Summary:

The Caregiver / Personal Care Aide provides non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions. This role plays a vital part in improving clients' quality of life while ensuring a safe and supportive home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Support mobility, transfers, and daily activities
• Provide medication reminders (non-medical)
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Follow care plans and agency policies

Qualifications:

• Previous caregiving or CNA experience preferred (not required)
• Reliable transportation preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Dementia or Alzheimer's care experience
