Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home non-medical care, helping seniors age in place with empathy and integrity.

No healthcare certification is required, but CNA/HHA or 6 months of geriatric care is preferred. Responsibilities include companionship, daily living support, transportation, and standby transfer assistance. We offer flexible schedules, advancement opportunities, and training for growth.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state).
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test.
• Must be physically able to perform duties, including lifting, pushing and pulling approx. 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; proof of license and insurance.
• Ability to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
• Compassionate heart for older adults; excellent communication skills; matured, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship and conversation.
• Support with daily living tasks such as feeding, medication reminders, bathing/dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep.
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety assistance.
