Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join our team to enhance seniors’ lives one day at a time. You will work one-on-one with clients, providing non-medical services and building meaningful relationships so they can age in place at home.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA or 6 months plus geriatric care preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any state requirements).
• Proof of current, negative TB test.</br>Must be physically able to lift, push and pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; proof of valid license/insurance.
• Ability to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
• A compassionate heart for older adults; strong communication skills.
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship to clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and light housekeeping.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Provide standby assistance with transfers.
• Ensure overnight safety where required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
