Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate caregivers for in-home care across the Northwest Indiana area. You will work one-on-one with seniors, delivering non-medical services and building meaningful relationships to support aging in place.

Responsibilities include companionship, daily living assistance, and safe transportation. A caring, reliable, and punctual mindset is essential to help improve clients' quality of life in their own homes.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state).
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship and meaningful interactions with clients.
• Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and light housekeeping.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers to ensure safety.
• Overnight safety precautions and monitoring as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus

• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
