Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers to work with seniors in their homes, providing one-on-one non-medical support and companionship. The role centers on enhancing quality of life with empathy and integrity, including help with daily activities and meal preparation.

Full or part-time opportunities are available, with a focus on flexible scheduling, advancement potential, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA/HHA preferred or 6 months caring for older adults.
• Experience with dementia/alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and one-on-one non-medical services to clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, grooming, bathing, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep).
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Offer standby assistance with transfers and overnight safety.

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
