HomeWell Care Services is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team in Merrillville, IN. You will work one-on-one with seniors in their homes, providing a range of non-medical services to support aging in place with empathy, excellence and integrity.

The role offers full- or part-time options, competitive compensation, training, and opportunities for advancement within a nationwide team. No healthcare certification required, but related experience and a valid driver’s license are

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required; CNA/HHA preferred
• Experience with dementia/alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and state requirements)
• Proof of current, negative TB test
• Ability to lift, push and pull ~25 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance
• Ability to travel ~15 miles for shifts
• Compassionate heart for older adults
• Excellent communication skills
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. RESPONSIBILITIES

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
