Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 seeks compassionate caregivers for in-home non-medical support in the area. You will work one-on-one with seniors in their homes, providing companionship and daily living assistance to promote independence and quality of life.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and strong communication. A flexible schedule with opportunities for advancement and training is available to the right candidates.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA preferred.
• Experience with geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons is a plus.
• Daily access to email, Internet, and a mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship and non-medical care one-on-one with clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks: feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, light housekeeping, cooking.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social activities; standby during transfers; overnight safety support.

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
