Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 seeks compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home non-medical support, helping seniors age in place with dignity and respect.

We offer flexible schedules, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement. Prior geriatric or dementia experience is a plus, and you should have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state).
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test.
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts.
• A compassionate heart for older adults.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship.
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation.
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety assistance.
