Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide non-medical in-home support to seniors in Cedar Lake, IN. You’ll work one-on-one with clients, assisting with daily living tasks and companionship, enabling aging in place with dignity.

Flexible full- or part-time schedules, training, and opportunities for advancement are available. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required; CNA/HHA preferred.
• Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Proof of current, negative TB test.
• Physically able to lift, push and pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel 15 miles for shifts.
• A compassionate heart for older adults; excellent communication.
• Reliable, mature and punctual demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Assist with daily living tasks: feeding reminders, bathing, grooming, toileting, dress, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep
• Transportation to appointments and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety support

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
