Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team. You will provide a variety of non-medical services to help seniors age in place, one-on-one in their homes, with empathy, excellence, and integrity.

We offer full- or part-time options, flexible schedules, and opportunities for advancement. No healthcare certification required, but prior geriatric care or CNA/HHA experience is a plus, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer’s care is a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Must pass a criminal background check (national and state requirements).
• Proof of current, negative tuberculosis (TB) test.
• Must be physically able to lift, push and pull approximately 25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
• Compassionate heart for older adults; excellent communication; reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship to clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and light housekeeping.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social events.
• Offer standby assistance with transfers and ensure overnight safety.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance
