Assisting Hands Schaumburg is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care across the Northwest suburbs, including Schaumburg and Park Ridge. Join a team dedicated to helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with travel to client locations as needed, competitive hourly pay, and paid training. Comfortable with lifting up to 35 pounds and performing light housekeeping is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year caregiving experience in home care, CNA, HHA, or facility setting preferred.
• Reliable transportation with valid license and insurance.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform light physical tasks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Able to pass required pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, hygiene).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Support mobility, transfers, and daily routines.
• Provide medication reminders as needed.
• Follow care plans and document care provided.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and office staff.

We are actively hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide quality in-home care for clients throughout the Northwest suburbs, including Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, and Park Ridge.

Please note: This position may be posted in one of the communities we serve, but client assignments are not limited to that location. Caregivers must be willing to travel and work throughout our service area based on client needs, availability, and scheduling.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Supporting mobility, transfers, and daily routines
• Providing medication reminders
• Following individualized care plans and documenting care provided
• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and office staff

• Reliable transportation with a valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds and perform light physical duties
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings
