Assisting Hands Schaumburg is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors and individuals in their homes across the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Join a team that values dependable, patient care and meaningful connections in clients’ daily lives.

We offer paid training, ongoing support, and opportunities to advance. Eligible candidates should have caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and a valid license. Travel across communities is required and scheduling is flexible.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• Home care, private duty, CNA, HHA, or similar experience is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Current auto insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and other personal care
• Prepare meals and help with light household chores
• Provide companionship and meaningful interaction

What Does a Caregiver Do?

Every client has their own routines, preferences, and needs. Your role is to provide the support outlined in their individualized care plan while helping them remain comfortable and independent at home.

Depending on the assignment, you may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
• Prepare meals and help with light household chores
• Provide companionship and meaningful interaction
• Assist with mobility and everyday activities
• Encourage independence and participation in daily routines
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Follow the client's care plan and scheduled routines
• Document services provided
• Communicate important changes or concerns with the office
