Job summary

Tridgeview Commons in Midland, MI is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for 2nd shift to support residents with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility. You will assist with hygiene, medications, meals, light housekeeping, and transportation while maintaining safety and dignity.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in caregiving, a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and a caring, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Ability to lift and move patients and assist with mobility as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming) for clients.
• Assist with medications, ambulation, and mobility around home.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with nutrition.
• Support with physical therapy exercises and daily activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and shopping as needed.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Offer daily living activities and ensure safety and comfort.

We are looking for a compassionate Caregiver to join our growing team at Tridgeview Commons on 2nd shift! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
