Job summary

Willows of Bay City is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for second shift to support elderly clients with daily living activities and medical-related assistance. The role emphasizes one-on-one care, mobility support, meal preparation, and safety-first responsibilities in a home-like setting.

Qualified applicants will have a High School diploma or equivalent and relevant caregiving experience (CNA/HHA preferred).

Qualifications

• Ability to work closely with clients in a one-on-one setting

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Compassionate and supportive demeanor
• Willing to work nights and/or weekends
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care (min 1 year)

• Hoyer Lift experience (if required)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (showering, bathing, dressing, eating)
• Assist with medication and ambulation
• Support mobility to appointments and activities
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete shopping or accompany clients
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report incidents promptly and act in emergencies
• Assist with daily living activities including meals and related tasks

We are looking for a compassionate Caregiver to join our growing team on Second Shift! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent / Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
