Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring for non-medical home care roles across Connecticut. Flexible shifts include Weekdays, Weekends, Overnights, and Live-In options.

The position involves assisting clients with daily activities, transportation, light housekeeping, meal prep, and emotional support while following each client’s care plan. Prior caregiving experience is a plus, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
