Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking caring caregivers to work in Connecticut across multiple service areas. The role focuses on non-medical home care, companionship, and practical assistance for clients in need.

Flexible scheduling includes weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts; the position offers a competitive hourly rate, benefits such as medical/dental/401(k), and referral bonuses to encourage excellent caregiving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
