Job summary

Companions & Homemakers and its Connecticut team are hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care across multiple service areas. You will follow client plans, assist with daily activities, and transport clients to appointments while offering companionship and support in a compassionate, dependable way.

The role supports light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and mobility assistance, with flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in arrangements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
