Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is hiring compassionate Caregivers to provide in-home, non-medical services to seniors who wish to age in place. You will work one-on-one with clients, delivering a variety of tasks with empathy, excellence and integrity.

No healthcare certification is required, though CNA/HHA or related experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Flexible schedules, mileage reimbursement, and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required; CNA/HHA or 6+ months care experience preferred.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's care experience a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Proof of TB test as required by Indiana state law.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Compassionate, older adults-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship and relationship-building with clients.
• Assistance with daily living tasks: feeding, medications reminders, bathing/dressing, hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep.
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social activities.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety assistance.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
