Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join our team. You will work one-on-one with clients, providing a variety of non-medical services that help seniors age in place in their own homes.

No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus geriatric care experience is preferred. We offer training, flexible schedules, advancement opportunities, and support with housing/childcare programs where available.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required.
• CNA/HHA or 6+ months geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and personal care assistance.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep).
• Assist with transportation to appointments and social outings.
• Standby safety support with transfers and overnight safety when needed.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
