HomeWell Care Services IN219 in Northwest Indiana is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical services to seniors who wish to age in place at home. You will build trusted relationships while delivering companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and daily living support.

The roles offer flexible schedules with both full-time and part-time options, paid mileage between shifts, training and development, and opportunities for advancement, plus bonuses

Competenze

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Proof of current, negative TB test as required by the state.
• Must be physically able to lift, push and pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; proof of valid license and insurance.
• A compassionate heart for older adults.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
