Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in their own homes in the Northwest Indiana area. You will provide one-on-one non-medical services to enhance quality of life with empathy and integrity.

We offer flexible schedules, paid mileage between shifts, and opportunities for advancement as part of a dedicated team focused on aging in place with dignity.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Daily access to email and mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship to clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, bathing, dressing, hygiene, meal prep).
• Transport clients to appointments and social activities.
• Provide standby transfers and overnight safety assistance.

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
