Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a compassionate CAREGIVER to assist residents with daily living activities in a Santa Barbara assisted living setting. The role includes helping with meals, housekeeping, transfers, and personal care, while maintaining a safe, homelike environment.

You will observe residents for changes in condition, report findings to your supervisor, and comply with health, drug, and background checks required by the community.

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate care for residents and support with ADL tasks.
• Must maintain safe, clean environment and follow resident service plans.
• Criminal background check, TB test, drug screen and health screening required.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents for safety and report changes to supervisor.

What we need from you:

• Assisting residents with ADL tasks including housekeeping tasks, making beds, serving meals,
  • assisting with personal laundry, assisting with showers, assisting with toileting, dressing,
  • undressing, oral care, hair care, transfers and ambulation and any other needs addressed on the resident service plan.
• Keeping environment safe and clean for all residents.
• Observing residents for safety, and report any change of condition or other pertinent information to supervisor

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
