Job summary

San Jose/Evergreen Community College District, at San Jose City College, is seeking a Program Assistant for the Career/Transfer Center. The role supports a college grant program, assists with intake, coordinates services, and liaises between students, mentors, and faculty.

Work is 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., on a 12-month schedule. The position is grant funded and contingent upon yearly funding and is represented by CSEA, Chapter 363.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, monitoring, coordinating, and improving a specialized college program.
• Provide liaison support for students with faculty, staff, and mentors.
• Inform students about program requirements and services; assist with intake.
• Assist with eligibility and participation determinations.
• Help students with registration, forms, and mentor identification.
• Coordinate services with other college staff and community mentors.
