Job summary

The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (SWPIC) is hiring a Career Specialist/Case Manager to provide employment and training services for Welfare to Work programs (MFIP & SNAP) in Pipestone and Rock Counties. This is a full-time position and operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m. You will assess needs, develop individualized employment plans, coordinate transportation and daycare, and connect clients with community resources.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MFIP and SNAP eligibility, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to assess customer needs and develop individualized employment plans.
• Computer literacy and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of MFIP and SNAP eligibility, policies, and procedures while assessing customer needs and developing individualized employment plans.
• Maintain customer file documentation, monitor progress, and ensure compliance.
• Refer customers to relevant resources, coordinate support services such as daycare and transportation, and build relationships with other social service agencies.
• Job development, workshop organization, and participation in orientations, meetings, and training.
• Represent the program at meetings and manage financial resources for clients; complete additional duties.
