Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council, Inc. is seeking a Career Specialist/Case Manager to provide employment and training services for Welfare to Work Programs (MFIP & SNAP) in Pipestone and Rock Counties. This full-time role runs 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in social services, counseling, or related field.
• Knowledge of MFIP/SNAP programs is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and develop individualized employment plans.
• Maintain customer file documentation, monitor progress, and ensure compliance.
• Refer customers to resources, coordinate support services (daycare, transportation), and build relationships with social service agencies.
• Job development, workshop organization, and participation in orientations, meetings, and training.
• Represent the program at meetings and manage client resources, completing additional duties as assigned.

CAREER SPECIALIST/CASE MANAGER – PIPESTONE/ROCK COUNTIES

Full-Time (40 hours per week) | $21.00 – $23.00/hour | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (SWPIC) is seeking a Career Specialist/Case Manager to provide employment and training services for Welfare to Work Programs (MFIP & SNAP) in Pipestone and Rock Counties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of MFIP and SNAP eligibility, policies, and procedures while assessing customer needs and developing individualized employment plans.
• Maintain customer file documentation, monitor progress, and ensure compliance.
• The position also involves referring customers to relevant resources, coordinating support services such as daycare and transportation, and building relationships with other social service agencies.
• Job development, workshop organization, and participation in orientations, meetings, and training are key tasks.
• The position requires representing the program at meetings, ensuring proper financial resource management for clients, and completing additional assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Related experience and/or education equivalent to an associate’s degree or higher in social services, counseling, or related areas.
• Familiarity with employment and training programs and social services agencies are helpful.
• Computer knowledge and ability to function independently is required.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
