Job summary

Vance-Granville Community College is seeking a Career Services Program Coordinator to connect students with real opportunities, building bridges between classrooms and careers across our four-county service area. You’ll partner with faculty, schools, employers and community leaders to create work-based learning experiences.

The role involves coordinating CTE enrichment, career coaching, and outreach, maintaining FERPA-compliant records, and supporting WBL placements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
Two years of experience in career development, case management, or related area.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Must have a valid NC driver’s license.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate activities that support students' career needs in CTE programs.
Lead career coaching (in-person and virtual) to help students’ goals.
Facilitate workshops in classrooms and community settings.
Administer career assessments and tools (Career Coach, Handshake, etc.) to align training with opportunities.
Promote inclusive programming and outreach to students, faculty, staff, employers, and K-12 partners.
Maintain relationships with stakeholders and attend department/committee meetings.
Ensure FERPA compliant handling of student records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
