Job summary

Vance-Granville Community College seeks a Career Services Program Coordinator to connect students with real work opportunities, bridging classrooms and careers across our four-county service area.

You will lead coaching, coordinate CTE enrichment, and collaborate with faculty, schools, and employers to expand hands-on learning and community engagement. This role includes some travel and periodic telework after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or related field.
• Two years of experience in human resources, career development, or related areas.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and collect data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate career development activities and CTE/summer enrichment programs.
• Lead career coaching sessions in-person and virtual.
• Facilitate workshops in classroom and community settings.
• Administer career assessments and engagement tools to guide student training paths.
• Build relationships with faculty, employers, and K-12 partners.
• Maintain FERPA-compliant student records and data integrity.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs to support work-based learning (WBL).
• Coordinate enrollment processes and site visits for WBL opportunities.
