Job description

Vance-Granville Community College is where meaningful work meets real community impact. At VGCC, you’ll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality education that transforms lives. Your work will help open doors for students, strengthen local communities, and prepare individuals for in-demand careers. Every day offers the chance to see the direct impact of what you do. If you’re energized by purpose, collaboration, and making a difference, we invite you to apply.

Help shape the future workforce of North Carolina's Vance-Granville region. As the Career Services Program Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of connecting students to real opportunities — building bridges between classrooms and careers, from middle school all the way through the workforce.

You'll partner with faculty, public schools, employers, and community leaders to open doors: expanding hands-on Career & Technical Education programs, creating work-based learning experiences, and giving students the chance to explore what their future could look like — long before they have to decide.

From leading summer career readiness camps that spark curiosity in young students, to supporting faculty with work-based learning placements and guiding students through enrollment, you'll play a hands‑on role in shaping how students across our four-county service area discover and pursue meaningful career paths aligned with the needs of our region's workforce.

If you're passionate about student success and want a role where your work directly changes trajectories, this is it.

Salary: VGCC considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; and internal peer equity in offer calculations.
