Job summary

Stafford County Public Schools is seeking a Work-Based Learning Coordinator to lead the division's WBL program, design professional learning for educators, and build partnerships with local businesses to connect classroom instruction with careers.

You will collaborate with school leaders, monitor WBL experiences for accreditation, promote opportunities to students and families, and ensure compliance with labor and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• Classroom teaching and business/industry experience required.
• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Collegiate Professional License.
• Experience delivering high-quality professional learning opportunities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong external partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Design and support professional learning opportunities and develop teacher leadership.
• Support school leadership and promote learning to improve instruction.
• Track and monitor work-based learning experiences to meet accreditation.
• Promote work-based learning opportunities to stakeholders and recruit students.
• Develop workforce-related grants.
• Collaborate with business and industry partners to expand WBL and career awareness.
• Provide quality-control through site visits, observations and evaluations.
• Represent the school division in work-based learning associations and study groups.
• Communicate with parents and increase awareness.
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations and safety regulations.
• Serve as liaison to area businesses.
• Coordinate with teachers about training agreements and safety.
• Resolve concerns with site-based experiences.
• Work with principals to meet accreditation.
