Job summary

Union County College in Cranford invites applications for a full-time Student Services Specialist (Career Services). The role supports students and alumni by developing Career Action Plans, connecting them with internships and jobs, and coordinating career events and panels.

Under the Assistant Dean of Advising, Career and Transfer, you will build a professional network, manage CollegeCentral listings, and assist in workshops, resume writing, and job search strategies to promote career success

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Higher Education, Human Resources or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience in job placement, recruitment, or college career services.
• At least one year of experience with diverse populations in career assessment and job search.

Responsibilities

• Contact employers to create and develop job and internship opportunities for students and alumni.
• Hire/supervise/evaluate Student Worker staff within the Career Services Center.
• Manage Career Services social media and respond to inquiries timely.
• Create/maintain professional networks and databases for opportunities.
• Coordinate/participate in career fairs and events relevant to student needs.
• Assist in placing students/alumni in jobs/internships and monitor progress.
