Job summary

Union College in Schenectady, NY is seeking an Assistant Director - Career Center to advise diverse students and alumni on career planning and professional development. The role reports to the Senior Associate Director of Career Education and supports the Center’s mission.

Responsibilities include delivering individual career advising, collaborating on programming, and engaging alumni. A Bachelor’s degree plus 1–3 years of advising experience are expected, with occasional evening/weekend

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 career advising to diverse students and alumni.
• Familiarity with internship and employment recruitment processes.
• Ability to develop and deliver career education programming.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and collaboration across campus.

Responsibilities

• Career advising to undergraduate students and alumni on planning, internships, employment, and graduate school prep.
• Develop and present career readiness workshops and programs; evaluate outcomes.
