State of Nevada is hiring a Workforce Services Representative 1 in Reno to assist unemployment claimants with resumes, job searches, and eligibility assessment. This trainee level offers progression to the Representative 2 upon meeting qualifications.

Under the DETR umbrella, the role supports veterans and eligible job seekers by providing guidance, referrals, and use of career tools to secure employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of general work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply policies and procedures in daily work.

Responsabilités

• Interview customers to elicit information on education, training, and goals.
• Assist customers with registering for services and searching current job listings.
• Refer qualified customers to businesses and verify referral results.
• Provide information and referrals to programs and community services.
• Help customers use the resource center tools to search for employment and prepare resumes.
• Advise job seekers on self-assessment results and career options.
